The Mothman, this month’s Feature Creature, was spotted in West Virginia in 1966. The citizens were frightened at seeing this “man-sized bird … creature … something” that the local newspaper, Point Pleasant Register, published its first report on the Mothman. Today, Mount Pleasant, WV, holds the Mothman dear to their hearts with an annual festival.
